100% Vegan | Nano Coated | Sustain Up to -20° C /-4°F | Water & Wind Proof | Designed In Florence, Italy | Made in Toronto, Canada
During the winter season, it reaches a point where layering clothes is all that matters, regardless of whether or not it looks good or stylish. The colder it gets the harder it is to style layered clothing for most of us, especially for the ones who can’t afford the best quality in the market. It becomes almost impossible to tell people apart from their jackets! Most individuals feel the need to uphold their fashion sense through the style of the jacket rather than the warmth, and comfort. Unfortunately, it’s almost impossible to have it both ways.
This creates a leeway into seizing an opportunity to simplify heavy winter coats into a style symbol yet staying true to the necessary warmth an individual need to survive the toughest winters!
But amazing things can happen when science and fashion come together. Meet the Alpaca jackets. Don’t worry, they are 100% vegan. Alpacas are their inspiration, not the consequence because they are known for staying warm in the coldest temperatures.
They do not shear wool from any animals. Their jackets are designed in the fashionable city of Florence, Italy, and engineered within the tech-savvy city of Toronto, Canada. Engineers from Ontario tech university and designers from Polamata school in Florence, came together to make the most stylish yet warmest coat you could ever imagine.
Alpaca outerwear prioritizes the highest quality materials using advanced technology creating tough, warm, and versatile synthetic outerwear to ensure compatibility with even the most extreme weather conditions; all while keeping it 100% animal and cruelty-free.
These jackets have an insulating inner layer capable of keeping you warm even when the weather gets as cold as minus 20 celsius. The insulating material is covered by a soft breathable layer to ensure the highest comfort.
Super soft, thin, and lightweight so that you don’t have to worry about the thick puffy, and heavy jackets anymore. Although these jackets are thin, Alpaca jackets have many multifunctional pockets for ample storage.
It’s, not a surprise that winter can get warmer at times. Luckily, Alpaca jackets are made of two layers where the inner layer is removable for warmer days.
Alpaca jackets also come with a nano-coated outer shell capable of repelling dry particles, dirt, and all of the essentials that you need in a waterproof and windproof jacket. Their team is committed to the well-being of everyone involved in the process of making these jackets.
They make sure that their workers are treated fairly and paid accordingly. Their jackets are made of sustainable materials with ethical fabrics. They’re 100% vegan. They have zero tolerance for animal cruelty in the process of making these jackets. After all, saving the planet, while maintaining fashion, is their number one priority for them.
As a team of engineers, they know exactly what the right steps are to solve any problem regardless of how hard or complicated it is.
With a high-tech facility, trained lab instructors, and experienced professors, they were able to conduct a variety of tests and experiments for material selection.
They also started working under UOIT Brilliant Incubator 2018-2019 which was extremely helpful. They were granted awards by Brilliant Entrepreneurship from the UOIT Firefly Fund in support of founding an entrepreneurial project ‘Caracal Winter Jacket Company’.
By the end of this period, they had a full design with technical sketches. They were able to test lots of materials in the labs as a team of engineers at Ontario Tech University.
After carrying out extensive research that involved a team of professional engineers and professors, they finally came to conclusion about the best material that suits their needs.
