They’ve been working on blip energy since January 2020, and in that time have won the Clean Energy prize from ASUio, filed patents, and mapped out a path to certification and scale manufacturing for their first product. The team has technical and business backgrounds in hardware development and energy. The CEO Sophia was a Mechanical Engineer at iRobot building Roomba before receiving her MBA and MSDI from Northwestern. Chance, their COO, has a background in Federal Policy at GE and has worked in real estate, energy consulting, and more. Their co-founders and advisors Dennis and Thibaut both have experience in energy consulting at Bain and BCG respectively, and Thibaut holds a master’s in Electrical Engineering.
