Thoughtfully designed for your behind. Two brand new innovations from the makers of Kickstarter’s most popular shower!
Introducing Nebia. Creators of the world’s best and most sustainable showerheads and bathroom accessories – they say. They’re passionate about making every part of your bathroom ritual more thoughtful, more enjoyable, and better for the planet. The Nebia Bidet is the next frontier. Whether you are new to bidets or a bonafide bidet-lover, they are confident that you are going to love the life-changing experience that is washing with water.
Better for your body
When it comes to your health and comfort, bidets are a better solution. Bidets are gentler and more hygienic than using toilet paper. In fact, more and more doctors are recommending switching to bidets to reduce the likelihood of uncomfortable health conditions such as hemorrhoids, UTIs, yeast infections, anal irritation, and fissures.
When you’re dirty you jump in the shower and wash with water. So why do anything different when it comes to your body?
Better for the planet
Another HUGE problem with toilet paper? Its production is taking an enormous toll on the environment.
Did you know that Americans consume more toilet paper per person than anywhere in the world? Although Americans make up just 4% of the population, they are responsible for 20% of global tissue consumption, adding up to 9.2 billion pounds of toilet paper used each year!
Charmin Effect
The toilet paper industry is a problem that goes beyond just trees: it wastes tons of water. In the U.S. alone, toilet paper production wastes nearly 500 billion gallons of water each year.
Perhaps even more problematic than Americans’ toilet paper habits is the relatively new trend of using wet wipes. These wipes are often made from tree fiber but unlike TP, they are not designed to break down easily. When flushed down the toilet, they often clot together in the sewage and form masses called “fatbergs” which have severe environmental impacts.
Is there a solution? Yes, and it’s called a bidet.
70% water savings
Using a bidet eliminates the need for toilet paper. With the Nebia Electronic Bidet Seat, warm air will dry you instantly. If you opt for the attachment, a quick pat of their fluffy Bamboo Bidet Towel is all you need to gently absorb any excess water.
Nebia’s mission is to make products that people love to use and that are better for the planet. From the materials used in their products to their packaging, they seek out innovations that reduce their environmental footprint and make a net positive impact on the world.
When designing the Nebia Bidets they did something never done before and created the first bidets made with recycled plastic. The body of the Nebia Bidet Attachment body will be made from 65% recycled plastic. While they are still finalizing the design, they are aiming to incorporate 10% recycled plastic in both the lid and remote of the Nebia Electronic Bidet Seat.
Material science
The Nebia Bidet Attachment is the latest in a series of Nebia products that incorporate recycled materials. From their shower curtain made from upcycled plastic bottles, their towels made from recycled textiles, and their showers containing ocean recycled plastic components, they are taking pollution from the environment and upcycling it into products that can last decades.
Incorporating recycled plastic
While companies such as Patagonia have taken the lead in the apparel industry, this is something that companies are not even attempting in home appliances. They are excited and proud to be leading the charge, as they march towards a future where they make all of their products out of truly sustainable materials.
The Nebia Electronic Bidet Seat
Compatibility
To determine if your toilet will be compatible with the Nebia Electronic Bidet Seat, you will first need to answer the following questions:
The Nebia Electronic Bidet Seat was designed to fit an elongated toilet seat. It will not fit a rounded toilet seat. Read the instructions below to determine if the Nebia Electronic Bidet Seat will fit your toilet seat.
Make sure to only use a grounded GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) electrical outlet. In the case of a short circuit, a grounded GFCI outlet may help prevent electric shock or injury.
The length of the power cord for the Bidet Seat is 3.9 ft (1.19 m). If your toilet is farther than 3.9 ft (1.19 m) from a power outlet, you can use an extension cord.
If it is necessary to use an extension cord, only use those rated for a minimum of 15 amps with a 3-wire cord and a 3-blade grounding plug.
Easy Self-Install
From start to finish installing the Nebia Electronic Bidet Seat should only take about 15 minutes on most standard toilets.
With the Dual Temperature Bidet Attachment, you’ll have the option to use cold, hot water, or any temperature in between. In order to enjoy a range of temperatures, the Dual Temperature Bidet Attachment must hook up to the hot water supply at the sink in your bathroom. Since this product is non-electric it is unable to heat water on its own and therefore depends on your home’s water source.
In order to connect the Dual Temperature Bidet Attachment to the hot water supply under your sink, your sink must be relatively near your toilet as the hot water hose is 2 meters / 6.6 ft long.
If your sink is farther than 2 m / 6.6 ft from your toilet, they recommend their Ambient Bidet Attachment which does not require being hooked up to the hot water supply under your sink and only uses ambient temperature water.
Toilet Compatibility
The Nebia Bidet Attachment will fit nearly all standard Round and Elongated toilet bowls, including most one-piece and curved toilet fixtures (commonly referred to as French Curve).
Standard Fixtures
Bolt holes must be between 5-1/4 inches and 8 inches apart. You will also need at least 3/4-inch clearance from the center of the bolt holes to the back of the toilet tank.
Fixtures with Curved Tanks (French Curve Fixtures)
Measure 2-1/4 inches in a straight line from the center of either bolt hole to the edge of the toilet fixture (shown as A in the diagram above).
Measure from Point A (established in the step above) towards the toilet tank. You will need at least 3/4″ of clearance (shown as B in the diagram above) in order for the Nebia Bidet Attachment to fit on your toilet.
Easy Self-Install
Both Nebia Bidet Attachments feature an easy DIY installation.
From start to finish the Ambient version takes less than 15 minutes to install on most standard toilets.
The Dual Temp version requires one extra step (diverting the hot water from your sink). Nevertheless, it should only take you about 15 minutes to install on most standard toilets.
After washing with your bidet, pat dry with their silky bamboo bidet towel to gently absorb any excess water. Thanks to your bidet, you’re already clean, so just think of it like using a regular towel after a shower.
Their reusable bidet towels come in a pack of 6 and are available in two colors: Navy Blue and Charcoal Gray. They are hypoallergenic, machine-washable, and include a mesh laundry bag to provide protection during the wash cycle. Sustainable and cost-effective, they’re a win-win for your budget and plumbing, saving you money on toilet paper and keeping one-time-use wipes from potentially clogging your pipes.
